Afghan women inside Afghanistan and in the Diaspora are expressing their voices through art, whether that’s painting, photography, graffiti, rap, poetry or writing. In the last decade, young women have produced a series of work that demonstrates a new movement of feminism. They display anguish, pain, freedoms and a mix of other emotions and political statements, an emergence of ideas and liberties, in response to continued oppression and imprisonment.
