Fariba Nawa will discuss human rights violations in the last 30 years of war in Afghanistan. She’ll give a brief history of atrocities committed against innocent civilians and what has been done to curb the violence. She’ll also discuss the research in Opium Nation. The book will be available for sale. “Opium Brides,” the documentary film, will be shown following her talk.
