More than a decade after the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan, women have been the forgotten targets and victims of not only an ongoing war but the country’s cultural, legal, and political barriers. Women’s Media Center will have a roundtable discussion with leading writers on Afghanistan and moderated by the director of WMC’s Women Under Siege project (, an initiative originated by Gloria Steinem that documents how sexualized violence is used globally as a tool of war.

Free to the public but please RSVP.
